ILLUMINATING YOUR PASSION

While I was a teaching assistant for a bookbinding class, I experimented with combining different styles of book binding and hand-stitching techniques. I also taught hand carved custom lettering.

Here I used the French Link and Coptic Stitch but had to research on my own on how to combine them efficiently and make a custom design myself.

I also taught students advanced typesetting and explored GREP searches in InDesign, which became a new in-depth demonstration for that class.

For one of my demos I taught , I created a GREP search for finding all of the quotes in an entire document, identifying your basic paragraph style and changing them all to an italic character style in one simple automation. This effectively changed all of the quotations in an entire document from regular copy to correctly formatted italic text, saving time and energy for designers and copy editors alike.
